The Bulls do this deal to clear salary. Saric is on an expiring contract. For that matter, so is White – but in all likelihood, the Bulls won’t look to retain him this summer anyway.
They might as well get something in return for him. A pair of second-round picks isn’t a substantial haul, but it’s better than nothing.
