The NBA’s trade market has its buyers and its sellers.
Normally, it’s not hard to tell which category a team will fall into. Contending teams buy, and rebuilding teams sell. At the same time, it isn’t always that simple.
Some teams don’t look like contenders, but they’ll still refuse to rebuild. For example, look at the Portland Trail Blazers. This team is 21-22, but they’ll probably look to buy anyway.
Traditionally, the Indiana Pacers operate similarly. With that said, at 23-21, they could actually justify buying this year.
Still, there’re candidates to sell to.
