Many assume that any major change the Los Angeles Lakers make will involve Russell Westbrook. Is that a safe assumption? 

After all, Westbrook has been playing well lately. As a matter of fact, the Lakers have been gelling as a unit in general. It may be that a less radical solution would be enough to improve this team. 

Bringing in Bojan Bogdanovic from the Detroit Pistons feels like a good one. He’s an elite floor spacer who can create his own shot when need be.

In other words, he’s exactly the type of wing who ought to thrive alongside James and Westbrook.

With that said, this isn’t necessarily a perfect deal for the Lakers. Bogdanovic is a potent offensive player, but he’s limited on defense. If the Lakers covet a two-way contributor, they may want to look elsewhere.
