Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry has been sidelined since December 14th, when he suffered a shoulder injury against the Indiana Pacers. While trying to swipe the ball away from power forward Jalen Smith, Curry suffered what was diagnosed as a left shoulder subluxation and the NBA superstar has been sidelined since.

A subluxation is when the shoulder dislocates, sliding in and out of the socket quickly. It is very painful and sometimes the damage could be quite severe, leading to a long-term absence. Luckily for Curry, there wasn’t any more damage done.

He has missed 11 games because of the injury, but that streak will be coming to an end on Tuesday night. The former MVP will be returning to the court against the Phoenix Suns, according to ESPN’s Kendra Andrews.

Curry began showing signs that he could be close to returning on Friday when he said that he would return when he was ready. He participated in contact and 5-on-5 work that day for the first time since his injury. On Monday, he was listed as a full participant in practice and scrimmaged again, putting him on track to return.

LATEST NBA INJURY NEWS: Stephen Curry & Golden State Warriors Updates

It has been a roller coaster ride without Stephen Curry in the lineup the last few weeks. Things started on a low, as the Warriors lost three out of the first four games without him. The Memphis Grizzlies gave Golden State some motivation and bulletin board material, which led to the team ripping off a five-game winning streak.

That streak has since been snapped, as the Warriors have lost two straight games. But, with Curry now returning to the lineup, they are hopeful that they can get things back on track. They are certainly happy to have him back in the lineup, as it will be the first time since 2019 that he, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala are all healthy enough to play.
