This deal is eerily similar to the last one.
Once again, the Cavs are negotiating with a rebuilding team. They’re sending Okoro in return for a veteran wing who can shoot, defend and set up teammates.
Of course, Burks and Richardson aren’t identical players. Richardson is probably a slightly better defender and playmaker. On the other hand, Burks is a vastly better shooter.
In fact, he’s one of the best in the NBA. His floor spacing would be invaluable to this Cavaliers squad.

Meanwhile, if Okoro ever starts knocking his triples down, he could be the same for the Detroit Pistons. One day, they’ll hope to build a contender as well.
