Why The Chicago Bulls Do The Deal 

The Bulls tried to build a contender. This season, it appears that they failed. 

Vucevic’s defensive limitations have only been part of the issue. Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan are limited on that end as well. It feels like the Bulls didn’t account for point prevention when assembling this group. 

With that in mind, it’s probably time to start over. The Bulls are widely regarded as candidates to blow up their roster ahead of the 2022-23 deadline. 

Why not acquire a young rim protector while doing so? Bamba is only 24 – he can still make good on his upside.

Even if he doesn’t improve, he’s at least able to defend the rim in drop coverage.
