Why The Los Angeles Clippers Do The Deal 

Remember the shortcomings we identified on the Bulls? A lack of collective defense, and the collective ball dominance of their three stars. 

That wouldn’t be a problem for the Clippers following this deal. Their two best players are Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Neither needs the ball to be effective, and they’re both excellent defenders when healthy. 

With that in mind, DeRozan would likely make the full time transition to point guard following this deal. He’s been trending that way for a long time – DeRozan’s playmaking seems to improve on an annual basis. 

There would be some adjustments here. The Clippers would suddenly have a lot of mouths to feed.

At the same time, if it worked, they could be completely unstoppable. If nothing else, nobody could accuse them of being pretenders.
