The Dallas Mavericks are certainly thankful to have Luka Doncic on their team. He proves on a nearly nightly basis why he is among the best players not only in the NBA but in the world, and he has been a big reason for Dallas’ recent resurgence.

The Mavericks are currently riding a four-game winning streak, which has pushed them back up the standings in the Western Conference with a record of 19-16. Doncic has once again put the team on his back during this stretch, putting together some masterful performances.

Doncic is just short of averaging a triple-double in the last four games and made at least 50 percent of his shots from the field and making a living at the foul line. That stretch includes a 50-point game and the most memorable 60-point game in NBA history.

On Tuesday night, the Mavericks needed all 60 of those points to defeat an undermanned New York Knicks squad who played excellently for 59:26 of the game before squandering a nine-point lead in the final 33.9 seconds. Doncic had a record-setting performance against New York, scoring 60 points with 21 rebounds and 10 assists, becoming the first player to reach those plateaus in the same game.
