Why The Miami Heat Do The Deal
This wouldn’t be an easy decision for the Heat to make.
For starters, they’re moving an excellent defender for, frankly, one of the worst in the league. Miami will miss Bam Adebayo’s versatile stopping power.
That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t make the deal. In fact, they should. An offensive player with Young’s abilities doesn’t hit the trade market very often.
Acquiring him would give the Heat a true offensive superstar to build around.

As talented as he is defensively, Adebayo doesn’t fit that description, and Herro is unlikely to ever hit Young’s levels either.
