Why The Washington Wizards Do The Deal 

If this feels like a rebuilding measure for the Wizards, that’s because it is one. At 13-21, they ought to be rebuilding. 

Granted, this isn’t the biggest shakeup they could make. If the Wizards truly want to rebuild, they’ll move on from Bradley Beal or Kristaps Porzingis – if not both. Still, this could be a deal that portends other deals. 

If the Wizards do shift their focus toward the future, this is a good trade. Okoro is already a quality defender. If his three-ball ever starts dropping, he’ll be a quality NBA player. 

Even if he doesn’t, the Wizards get a pick swap here as well.
