Why The Philadelphia 76ers Do The Deal 

Do the Sixers need guard depth? It depends on who you ask. 

On the one hand, Tyrese Maxey is injured, and he doesn’t appear close to returning. James Harden has missed time this year too. On the other hand, De’Anthony Melton and Shake Milton have both done a great job in either’s absence. 

That’s fine. Harris still makes this team better. He’s the worst creator out of all the players we’ve just mentioned, but he is the best 3-and-D. He brings a different skill set to the off-guard position than the Sixers currently have. 

Meanwhile, Harris can man the three in three-guard lineups at times as well. He’s defensively stout enough to hold some wings.
