The Miami Heat made it to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021-22 with a core that’s similar to the group they have now. They know they’re capable of more, so they may be hesitant to blow it up.
By contrast, the Washington Wizards added Kristaps Porzingis, he’s playing well, and they still don’t look any better than last year.
