For what it’s worth, the Sixes are still getting a star player here. Ingram may not be on Embiid’s level, but he absolutely meets that criteria. 

He may also be a better fit alongside James Harden. The Sixers seem to be struggling to find a balance between two isolation-heavy players in Harden and Embiid.

Ingram is an off-ball threat who can also make plays when Harden needs a rest. 

Of course, that’s not the only benefit for Philly in this deal. In fact, this pick from the Lakers holds particular value. As it stands, it could be a lottery pick in a draft that’s especially stacked.
