Charlotte Hornets Receive: G/F Cam Reddish, 2024 Second-Round Pick (NYK), 2024 Second-Round Pick (MIA via NYK) 

With this deal, the Knicks actually get some value in exchange fo Reddish. Of course, it comes at a price. 

After all, a rebuilding team could be interested in Reddish, but they won’t give up daft capital to get him. On the other hand, if they’re willing to give up some picks, they may be able to do something interesting. 

Meanwhile, the Hornets may be willing to part with Washington. He’s due for a rookie extension this summer, and the Hornets don’t appear likely to offe it to him. If they’re not, they ought to avoid losing him for nothing. 

Flipping him for Reddish and a little daft capital feels a lot better than nothing. While the Hornets are at the bottom of the standings, that holds especially true.
