To the surprise of no one, except maybe people within the organization, the Los Angeles Lakers are struggling in the 2022-23 NBA season. While they have begun showing some signs of life in recent games, as they have gone 7-3 in their last 10 games, there is still plenty of work to do.

The Lakers are currently in 12th place in the Western Conference and could use a roster shake-up. Their Big 3 of LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook had shown flashes, but they are still lacking talent beyond those three.

A lot of rumors have swirled about the team potentially trading Westbrook and turning him into multiple rotation pieces, but he has taken well to his new role as the sixth man. They have received some calls on him, but instead, they should try bolstering the rotation without including him in a trade.

One team that could be a fit as a trade partner for the Lakers is the Philadelphia 76ers. They are staying afloat despite some injuries to James Harden and Tyrese Maxey and could be open to shedding some money if the opportunity presents itself.
