Why The Denver Nuggets Do The Deal
We’ll put it this way: if Reddish can’t thrive alongside Nikola Jokic, it’s hard to imagine he’ll thrive anywhere.
After all, Jokic is among the best playmakers in the NBA. Granted, Reddish already played alongside an elite playmaker in Trae Young on the Hawks.
Still, the defensive attention that Jokic draws on the interior should benefit him in a different way.
If it doesn’t: what odds? The Nuggets are parting with a 36-year-old Green and a second-round pick here. That’s a minimal cost for a player with any type of star upside – even if it’s as remote as Reddish’s.
