Like the Heat, the Bulls are having a disappointing season. It’s just a little more difficult to picture them turning it around.
This team may be fundamentally flawed. They’re stacked with low-end offensive stars, but hurting for impactful defenders. Something may have to give in the Windy City.
If so, why not make a move for Tyler Herro? This deal presents the Bulls with an opportunity to acquire a player with real star upside.
It doesn’t necessarily make the Bulls better, but it does make them younger – and what’s the point of clinging to a group that’s 9-12?

The first-round pick is a valuable asset for this team too. Sure, it’s lottery protected, but if adding LaVine doesn’t get the Heat over that hump, we’ve vastly overestimated them.
Following this deal, they should have too much star power to fail.
