The Cleveland Cavaliers are playing about as well as they could have hoped for. After making a surprise run to the NBA Play-In Tournament last season, Cleveland made a blockbuster trade in the offseason to help get them to that next level.
They acquired Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz, giving them one of the best backcourt duos in the NBA by combining him with Darius Garland. Mitchell has been excellent, scoring efficiently while playing the best defense of his career.
The Cavaliers are currently in third place in the Eastern Conference with a 14-8 record and the numbers believe there is room for improvement. Based on their ratings, the Cavaliers could be 16-6, so they are certainly playing as if they are one of the best teams in the NBA.
If there is any weakness on this roster it is on the wing. Cleveland could certainly use an upgrade in that regard as the small forward spot has provided so-so production thus far this season.
