He’s another quality big on the Knicks. In some ways, he splits the difference between Vucevic and Robinson.
He can’t shoot, but he can make plays for teammates. He’s a solid pick-and-roll finisher, but he’s not as strong of one as Robinson.
All told, this is a gamble that he and Vucevic make for a more diverse pairing than he and Robinson. Given that Hartenstein is a solid defender, the Knicks may have more use for Vucevic’s offensive abilities.
