Why The Houston Rockets Do The Deal 

Some Rockets fans will not love this deal. If they’re moving Gordon, they’d prefer to land a first-round pick or an intriguing young player. 

With that said, it feels like if that was the market value for Gordon, it feels like they would have already received it. If this is the best Houston can do for their veteran, it’s still got value to them. 

In fact, Beverley feels like exactly the type of veteran this group could use. He’s also a former Rocket and a fan favorite. If he enjoys his second tour of duty in Space City, they could resign him this summer. 

That could be key for this team. They could certainly use a veteran point guard in their rotation.
