Obviously, we’re talking about the Los Angeles Lakes. After all, the Heat would be receiving two unprotected first-round picks from them via the Pelicans in this deal. Those picks ae extremely valuable. 

On the other hand, consider them volatile stocks. The Lakes have been playing better lately, but perhaps more importantly, they could make a deal that improves their stock at any moment. 

Suppose the Heat make this deal, and a week late, the Lakes move Russell Westbrook for a package that obviously makes them better.
