Why The Chicago Bulls Do The Deal 

Quite honestly, we may not recommend this deal to the Bulls. If we managed this team, we may blow it up and start over. 

We do not. Meanwhile, every decision the Bulls have made in recent years suggests that they intend to compete. If that remains their intention, they could badly use a big man like Turner. 

In particular, they need his rim protection. As skilled as Nikola Vucevic is, he provides very little of it. The Bulls’ defense would receive a huge boost following this deal. 

Meanwhile, their offense may not even need to take a hit. After all, Turner provides similar floor spacing as Vooch, and that’s all the Bulls really need from a big. This offense will continue to run through Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan.
