Opportunity is everything. It’s especially the case in the NBA. If you don’t have the right opportunity, you can’t showcase yourself. You may be capable of more, but you’ll need a chance to show it. 

NBA players do too. Some players have more talent than their current team allows them to show. That may be because they don’t have room to – or, they may just not believe in them. 

With that said, Christian Wood has been waiting for his opportunity for some time now. He’s a complicated player. Wood’s talent is undeniable, but so are his flaws. 

By contrast, Robert Covington has gotten opportunities at almost every stop he’s made in the NBA.
