After all, the Hawks moved three first-round picks to acquire Dejounte Murray this summer. He’s got his own spacing issues. They don’t need another poor shooting guard alongside Trae Young – or Murray. 

In fact, that leads us to exactly why the Hawks would make this deal. They’re recouping some of that draft capital. Who knows how they’ll use it? 

If they wanted to, they could package it with a player to land a star. A package of Onyeka Onkongwu, Jalen Johnson, and these two picks could net the Hawks almost anyone who became available.
