The 2022-23 NBA season has been moving at a high rate of speed and plenty of teams have gotten off to surprising starts. Two of those teams are the Indiana Pacers and Utah Jazz. Both teams were relatively written off before the start of the season, but everything has changed so far early in the year.

At the time of this writing, the Pacers hold a 10-6 record and have looked the part of a legitimate contender in the Eastern Conference. The Jazz, on the other hand, have gone 12-7 and are the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.

With all of that being said, the two teams could still be looking to make a move or two. Could they potentially come together on a shocking trade?

LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers & Utah Jazz Updates

Bleacher Report certainly seems to think so. In a recent article, they suggested that the two sides could pull off a big trade that would send Myles Turner to Utah in exchange for Talen Horton-Tucker, Walker Kessler, Rudy Gay, and a 2023 first-round pick that is lottery protected.

Turner has been playing extremely for the Pacers so far this season. In fact, he may have played his way out of trade talks and the NBA rumors mill. Indiana may opt to sign Turner to a long-term extension to keep him around and build him into their long-term core.

On the season, Turner has averaged 17.5 points per game to go along with 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks. Once again, he has been arguably the best defensive big man in the NBA. Turner has also shot 53 percent from the floor overall and 36.4 percent from behind the three-point arc.

Those numbers show why the Jazz would love to acquire Turner, but also why the Pacers may not deal him. Why would the Pacers do this deal? Quite simply, they would add another pick, which is something Kevin Pritchard has had interest in doing.

Expect to begin hearing more NBA rumors swirling around in the coming weeks. Teams are beginning to figure out who they are and moves will be made. The Jazz and Pacers may be among the teams looking to make changes, but it will be interesting to see if Turner is still available or not.
