The Hawks aren’t the only team who may be regretting a major decision they made this summer.
In fact, they may not be the only team who made that regrettable decision in an effort to fix their defense. That’s exactly why the Minnesota Timberwolves traded for Rudy Gobert. Unfortunately, it hasn’t worked out as well as they’d hoped so far.
At 7-8, they’ve been among the most disappointing teams in the NBA. Gobert has improved the defense, but unfortunately, this team’s offense has suffered.
Perhaps their twin towers look isn’t as effective as it could be on paper – their pace and space are both negatively affected.

Worst of all, it seems to be impacting team morale. This team looks disconnected. They appear to be settling conflicts in the public eye. Don’t be surprised if the Wolves make a major move at some point in the season.
