Early as it is, the 2022-23 NBA season is already heating up and we have so far seen fireworks, with predictions already flying in on who the champion will be this time, the Most Valuable Player (MVP)
and quite incredibly, who among the coaches will get fired. Of course, we don’t expect anyone to be
fired this early, given the dynamics of the game; it is said it takes at least 20 games to have a good
evaluation of a team and we will stick by that.

Predictions on who stands to win the championship are another tough nut to crack at this stage of
the season, given teams fight harder in the playoffs and the favorites falling out at that stage may be
a surprise to a few. The best the early predictions will get, is on who stands the best chance to win
the most games in the regular season.

Pundits have had their say on this matter, the fans have spoken and the experts have given their
takes. The Boston Celtics have been tipped to win at least 50 games in the season, and in this list of
elites, they are joined by the Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers,
Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers and Phoenix Suns.

When we consider who is going to win the most games, the converse is on who is going to win the
fewest games. Some of the teams considered not strong enough to compete for the championship,
are tipped to win less than 30 matches in the regular season.

These in most scenarios, will appear at the bottom of the odds table in the NBA predictions 2022
analysed on Wincomparator. Such teams tipped to struggle against the bigwigs, are Oklahoma City
Thunder, Brooklyn Nets, Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Utah Jazz, San Antonio
Spurs, Orlando Magic and the New York Knicks.

Among the biggest favorites this season, a lot of focus will be trained on the Golden State Warriors.
Their start to the current campaign has been the strongest and their struggles on the road are well
documented. They have struggled defensively and their brightest star, as expected, has been
Stephen Curry. Things might change along the way though.

Klay Thompson hasn’t shown his best yet though he was impressive in the Warriors’ first win on the
road, as they sunk Houston and, in his profile, it is expected he will rise further. When he will do that
is the big question.

As regards, teams’ chances for the season, there is a very strong argument going around as to why
Philadelphia needs to move on from Glenn Anton Rivers. The man affectionately referred to
as Doc has been under a lot of focus lately and his history with the Sixers as well as Clippers does not
help his cause much. Calls for his sacking are definitely going to grow louder if Philadelphia doesn’t
step up.

The NBA regular season, which started in October, runs until April 2023 and the playoffs are set for mid
April to May 2023 then the final in June 2023.
