The Lakers have a sterling legacy. Kobe Bryant. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Magic Johnson. The list of all-time great players they’ve rostered is long enough to write this entire article on its own. 

On the other hand, their reputation may be suffering lately. The Lakers have made a lot of questionable decisions during the LeBron James era.

If not for that championship, it would be regarded as a colossal failure.
