If the draft is a guessing game, the Thunder will be doing a whole lot of guessing in the near future. 

After all, this team has amassed more draft capital than any team in NBA history. Open a list of all the teams in the league. Close your eyes, and point at one. There’s a decent chance that the Thunder own one of their picks between now and 2029. 

Realistically, they have more picks than they can even use. The Thunder won’t be able to select a player with each of those picks – they only have so many salary slots. 

Eventually, they’ll have to consolidate talent. In all likelihood, that was always the plan.
