Why The Charlotte Hornets Do The Deal 

The Hornets were widely expected to pursue a big man this summer. In fact, they acquired one. 

The team selected Mark Williams with the 15th pick in the NBA draft. With that said, Williams has not established himself as this team’s lead big yet. He’s competing for minutes with Washington, Mason Plumlee, and surprisingly, Nick Richards. 

The Hornets may as well add Wiseman to the committee. Yes, he’s looked extremely raw as a Warrior. Here, the Hornets are hoping he simply needs a change of scenery. 

After all, it’s fair to say he has more upside than any big man on this roster. The Hornets would have the second and third overall picks in the 2020 draft on their roster following this deal. That’s a lot of talent.
