Nobody wants to be a liability. Sometimes, you just are one anyway. That happens in the NBA fairly often.

Sometimes, people can help it. Other times, it’s out of their control. Let’s say you don’t typically drive, but are forced to in an emergency. If you don’t typically drive because you’re a reckless person, it’s not the same as being blind. 

Kyrie Irving is a liability. By now, that shouldn’t be a controversial statement – unlike half of the words that come out of Irving’s mouth. It feels fair to say that Irving is to blame for his own unreliability. 

Lonzo Ball is a liability as well – but it isn’t his fault. Ball finds himself on the injury report far more often than he’d like to.
