Sometimes, drastic measures are required. NBA teams are no different. Nobody likes it. Usually, we’d prefer a less radical solution to a problem. If it isn’t available, drastic measures may be the only option.
If you haven’t noticed, the Los Angeles Lakers have a lot of problems. Granted, many of them could be solved by trading Russell Westbrook.
On the other hand, doing so comes at a cost. The Lakers won’t be able to move Westbrook unless they’re willing to attach draft capital to his contract in order to do so.
On the other hand, there could be a more drastic measure the team could take to solve their problems. Trading Anthony Davis would certainly be a bold move.
