Ladies and gentlemen, it’s official: we need to talk about the Brooklyn Nets — arguably the NBA’s biggest disappointment.

After falling to the Chicago Bulls, the Nets are 2-6. They’v changed head coaches, which, as a general rule, doesn’t speak to organizational stability. 

Moreover, the coach they hired, Ime Udoka, was suspended indefinitely by his previous team, the Boston Celtics, for inappropriate workplace conduct. This comes on the heels of alleged antisemitism from Kyrie Irving. This does not sound like a productive work environment. 

In the middle of it all is Kevin Durant. He’s not only the best player on the Nets – he remains one of the best players in the NBA.

This summer, his trade request was heard around the world. If the Nets don’t make some progress soon, don’t be surprised if he makes another one.
