They’ll definitely mention LeBron James. After that, there are a large number of NBA players they may have heard of. On the other hand, don’t be surprised if they mention “this kid I’ve heard about. Victor…something with a W?”. 

That’s how widespread the legend of Victor Wembanyama has become. This kid isn’t even in the NBA yet, but he’s a household name. As a result, many NBA teams are expected to tank the 2022-23 season. 

At one point, the New York Knicks could have been one of those teams. Realistically, they still could be. On the other hand, after a 3-2 start, they may be inclined to see how much they can accomplish with the group they currently have. 

On the other hand, the Indiana Pacers should be in the running for Wembanyama. If they want to maximize their lottery odds, here’s a deal they could make with the Knicks.
