Two Atlantic Division rivals are facing off on NBA Friday night as the Toronto Raptors are heading on the road to face the Brooklyn Nets.
The teams are entering this game on different ends of the spectrum when it comes to their feelings following the NBA season openers.
The Raptors picked up an impressive victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers by a score of 108 to 105, ruining Donovan Mitchell’s debut with the team.
The Nets, on the other hand, were lambasted by the New Orleans Pelicans 130-108. There is already some anxiousness in Brooklyn as there were some quotes delivered that you don’t want to hear after Game 1.
LATEST NBA NEWS: Brooklyn Nets & Toronto Raptors Updates
Toronto and Brooklyn split their series last season, with each team winning twice. That is considered a major success for the Nets, as a win tonight would give them four out of the last six meetings after the Raptors owned this series, going on a 21-4 stretch before that.

Point guards found a lot of success against the Nets last season and depending on matchups, it should continue. Ben Simmons is a versatile defensive piece, so pinpointing who Kyrie Irving could be defending is key.
Betting on the over and 3-pointers made for the player Irving is defending, potentially Gary Trent Jr., could be profitable. Brooklyn is tough on the interior with Claxton and now Simmons, so rebounding numbers could be down in this one for Pascal Siakam.
Irving’s assist numbers as the shooting guard alongside Simmons should be a solid angle to play as well. However, the Raptors do have a stingy overall defense, so they will make life difficult for Simmons, who struggled in the opener and could find some difficulties tonight as well across the board. Betting under on his points and rebounds would be the way to go.
