Why The Indiana Pacers Do The Deal
Myles Turner is a quality big man in the NBA. Still, something tells us that Victor Wembanyama will be better.
Realistically, that’s who the Pacers have in mind here. Wembanyama is the most anticipated NBA prospect since LeBron James. Of course, with the flattened lottery odds, tanking a season for one player is a fool’s errand.
Luckily, there’s more than one player in this draft. In fact, it looks especially deep. Scoot Henderson, Amen Thompson, Nick Smith, Cam Whitmore, and others all have star potential. The Pacers would be in a much better position if they landed any of them.
That holds especially true in light of their current roster. Specifically, Haliburton can play alongside anybody. He’s an elite floor spacer who can be a primary or secondary playmaker. Adding any of this year’s top prospects alongside him will give the Pacers a brighter future.
