Tonight’s game against the Wizards and Pacers is essentially a toss-up in the eyes of bookmakers, which makes some sense. While Indiana is rebuilding, there are still some established players in their lineup that will make for a competitive game.

Myles Turner and Buddy Hield were the focus of offseason trade talks, but for now, they remain in Indiana. Tonight will be the debut of first-round pick Bennedit Mathurin, who had some nice performances in the preseason.

For the Wizards, they are hoping to get off to a hot start and find better health this season. Without Beal in the lineup, they struggled to win games, but this is a team with some intriguing potential. Beal and Kristaps Porzingis are a dynamic offensive pairing and with Monte Morris now inserted as the starting point guard, they have someone capable of bringing it all together.
