Of course, it’s hard to separate Green’s off-court antics from his on-court production. After all, they’re both largely driven by the same intensity.
Lest we forget, Green was not supposed to be here. He was a second-round draft pick. Yet, he’s been the defensive anchor of a perennial contender for most of his career.
In fact, some would call Green the best defender of his generation. Yes, much of that owes to his mind – Green has a keen understanding of defensive positioning and philosophies. Still, if not for his relentless intensity, he wouldn’t put it to as much use.
Yet, that same intensity has resulted in problems for the Warriors. This recent issue could be chalked up as simply another cost of doing business with Green.
