Why The Dallas Mavericks Do The Deal 

Frankly, we think Rose would be the perfect acquisition for these Mavericks. He is everything they should be looking for. 

We mentioned that the Mavericks need a secondary ball-handler who spaces the floor. Rose has transformed into one of the most consistent shooting point guards in the NBA. Realistically, the development of his three-ball saved his professional career. 

With that said, it’s not all he contributes. Rose is a steady ball-handler, solid passer, and crafty finisher. He’ll space the floor for Doncic when he has the ball, and carry the offense for him when he needs a rest. 

Defensively, the pair doesn’t make for the most stout backcourt in the league. Still, at least Rose isn’t a liability. The Mavericks fielded a stronger defense than their roster suggested they should have in 2021-22.
