Jordan Poole Has Yet To Forgive Draymond Green For Punch?

Golden State Warriors, NBA Rumors

The NBA world was in shock last week when news began circulating that a physical altercation occurred at the practice of the Golden State Warriors. Draymond Green and Jordan Poole had been involved in a scuffle, which some people were trying to downplay and keep in-house. That went out the window the next day.

Someone sold footage of the practice to TMZ, who released video of the altercation. It was an ugly scene seeing it unfold in that fashion. Poole did shove Green once the two went chest-to-chest, but then Green unloaded a punch that connected.

Green has since apologized to Poole, his family, their teammates and everyone that he could think of. But, that does not mean that things are smoothed over between the teammates. There is still some reconciling that needs to be done.

On a recent episode of the Locked On NBA Podcast by Jackson Gatlin, Cyrus Saatsaz of Locked on Warriors was a guest. The altercation at Warriors’ practice was one of their topics and they discussed at large how the team should handle things. According to Saatsaz, Poole has not yet forgiven Green.

“I’ve had sources tell me that behind the scenes, Jordan Poole has not forgiven Draymond,” claimed Saatsaz in his appearance on the Locked on NBA podcast. “They haven’t spoken. He’s not happy — I don’t know how you could be — It’s a horrible look. The image of it is awful. It’s borderline emasculating.”

This is not too surprising that some things still need to be worked out between the two. While several people said they have seen this kind of thing happen at practice semi-regularly, there was an even larger contingent that was truly taken aback by what they saw.

Some people said that they would never be able to be teammates with Green again as there is no coming back from what he did. This is something that could take a while to resolve and Poole may never fully forgive Green for what he did.

As of now, Green is expected to be back with the team later this week and prepare for the season opener. He was fined, but that may not be enough. If there is that much animosity between the teammates, something else will have to be done as this is going to be a distraction for the team until one of the players is traded away or a public acknowledgment of everything being good is made.
