There has been a ton of NBA reactions to what occurred at Golden State Warriors practice last week when Draymond Green and Jordan Poole got into a physical altercation. Green and Poole seemed to be jawing with each other, but things quickly escalated after they went chest-to-chest.

Poole shoved Green away, but things were taken to another level when Green struck Poole. Seeing video of the altercation made things even worse as Green connected with a punch to the face of his teammate.

While Green has since apologized, it isn’t something that Poole is going to instantly get over. He has not yet forgiven Green, and who could blame him? Things get heated at practice regularly and those two are notorious for arguing with each other, but to punch an unsuspecting teammate is a whole different story.

While some players have said fighting among teammates has occurred, one player, in particular, has spoken out against it. While making the first episode of his podcast, Patrick Beverley gave his opinion on the matter.

Known for being a feisty player that gets under people’s skin, it would not be surprising if Beverley has gotten into a few dustups during his time in the NBA. However, while some arguing has occurred, fighting is something that Beverley has not experienced on any team that he has been on.

“That should never happen — at all” he said. “No, that should never happen. … We’re professionals. That’s a line you don’t cross.”

A line was most definitely crossed by Green, who has put the Warriors and his teammates in a very awkward situation. This is something that will be a distraction for weeks as it will be the only thing people ask him about when he returns to the team later this week.

Green is known to wear his emotions on his sleeve and toe the line, as he regularly gets into the face of opponents and referees. But what occurred with Poole is something that he will have to live with for the rest of his life.

No amount of apologizing will erase the fact that he punched a teammate, something that will make it very difficult for the two to coexist for as long as they play on the Warriors together.
