Listen. The Indiana Pacers may not like tanking. We get it. 

On the other hand, there are exceptions to every rule. In this case, the Pacers should make one. 

If you disagree, it’s hard to imagine you’ve watched Victor Wembanyama. Granted, the Pacers could go 0-82 and still only have a 14% chance of drafting him. If this draft weren’t otherwise deep, that would be a more credible argument. 

It is. We already touched on Henderson – he could be the best point guard in the NBA someday. For that matter, so could Amen Thompson. Cam Whitmore is a relentless two-way wing. All told, there’s too much talent in this draft for the Pacers to opt against losing games this year.

Of course, that same argument could be applied to the Rockets. Should they really compromise their draft position to land Turner?
