Here at NBA Analysis, we hate injuries. They are, bar none, the worst aspect of professional sports.
Of course, we’re not huge fans of aging, either. Realistically, we’re pretty opposed to anything that stops NBA players from playing as well as they can.
With that said, aging is inevitable. Watching a player age out of their effectiveness is not nearly as devastating as watching a young player deal with a serious injury.
With that in mind, we’re really feeling for Lonzo Ball right now. His situation does not sound good. This young man’s promising young career may be in jeopardy, and moreover, we can only hope he’s able to avoid chronic pain throughout his life.

On the other hand, Mike Conley has been fortunate enough to age gracefully. Still, his effectiveness is gradually waning – especially on the defensive end. With that said, he ought to be a valuable NBA player for at least one more season.
