Why The Utah Jazz Do The Deal
Some Jazz fans will be disappointed in this return. At the same time, those same fans have already been disappointed this summer.
At one point, it was reported that the Jazz expected a first-round pick for each of Bojan Bogdanovic, Mike Conley, and Jordan Clarkson. So much for that. After all, the Jazz recently moved Bogdanovic to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Kelly Olynyk and Saben Lee.
Realistically, they’re actually getting a surprisingly better return for Clarkson here. That’s because they’re taking advantage of the Suns’ need to trade Crowder. Sometimes, holding out for a deal is the best way to get the best one you can.
Here, the Jazz get a great return for Clarkson. After all, he’s a talented player, but he’s 30 years old and coming off of a woefully inefficient season.
