Of course, teams aren’t the only entities in the NBA with needs. Each player has needs as well. 

For example, an elite playmaker with a weak shot needs to be surrounded by shooters. A great offensive big man who can’t protect the rim needs a weakside shot blocker.

At the same time, players have needs that extend off the basketball court as well. 

Seemingly, some players just need to start. If they’re not good enough to do it, that need will go unfulfilled. On the other hand, if they’re a starting caliber player, they’ll probably have their needs met somewhere.

It seems like Jae Crowder is one of those players. Allegedly, the Suns informed him that he’d lose his starting spot this season, and he promptly informed them that he wanted a trade. Now, it seems as if the Suns are working to find him one.
