To be sure, there is a lot of risk surrounding these Nets. On the other hand, risk is the name of the game in the National Basketball Association. 

For example, say a player is exceedingly talented, but injury prone. Is it worth having that player on your roster?

That’s a question that some within the Nets have to be asking themselves about Ben Simmons. Through a series of apparent mental and physical health problems, his availability has been scarce. At the same time, when he’s available, he’s a highly impactful player. 

At the same time, one could say the same about Lonzo Ball. He doesn’t appear to have the same mental health problems holding him back, but it may not matter.
