How This Trade Impacts Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings are desperate to make the postseason and snap their 16-year drought. They likely aren’t in the market to move De’Aaron Fox at this point, especially since they already moved Tyrese Haliburton ahead of the trade deadline.
But, figuring out what their plans are is never easy. They could look to shake things up again by moving Fox, handing the keys of their offense over to Davion Mitchell.
If they reach that point, they could take a shot on someone such as Julius Randle, who is only one season removed from being an All-Star, second-team All-NBA member and recipient of the Most Improved Player of the Year award.
Sacramento ownership could see that and hope he can unlock some of that potential under Mike Brown. His defensive principles would certainly be put to the test with a Randle/Sabonis frontcourt.

Derrick Rose would be a solid acquisition as someone that could mentor Davion Mitchell. Rose has transformed his game throughout his career and is someone that is respected by his peers around the league. He is a great piece for the second unit.
Cam Reddish is also a nice addition for the Kings. They added Malik Monk and Kevin Huerter to the roster this offseason looking to upgrade the wing. Reddish possesses prototypical two-way wing size and is oozing with potential. He has yet to find a consistent role in his career but the Kings could provide him that.

Sacramento is also getting two protected first-round picks in the deal. They are parting ways with probably the best player in Fox and the going rate, reportedly, for Randle is a pick being attached. They recoup the first-rounder they sent to the Atlanta Hawks for Heurter and pick up an extra to swing another deal with.
