Why The Philadelphia 76ers Do The Deal 

Here’s the short answer: further ahead. Much, much further ahead. 

It’s hard to come up with enough words to justify this deal for the Sixers. They’re landing Kevin Durant – no justification is needed. 

Durant, Joel Embiid and Harden will instantly be the most talented trio in the NBA. In fact, it won’t even be close. This deal doesn’t make the Sixers championship hopefuls: it makes them overwhelming favourites. 

For those keeping track, this would be Durant and Harden’s third attempt at winning a chip together. So far, it hasn’t worked out. With that said, they’ve never been flanked by a big like Embiid either.
