Phoenix Suns Receive: F Harrison Barnes
Of course, any 3-and-D wing is useless without at least one star shot creator and/or playmaker alongside them.
If a tree falls in the forest, and there’s nobody there to hear it, does it make a sound? More to the point: if a 3-and-D wing stands in the corner, and there’s no playmaker to pass him the ball, does he take a shot?
The Phoenix Suns have one of the most impressive collections of 3-and-D wings in the NBA. With that said, on the standards of a contender, they’re a little light on playmaking. That holds especially true if we assume that Chris Paul will regress in his age 37 season.
On the other hand, the Kings have got two dynamic playmakers in Domantas Sabonis and De’Aaron Fox, but they could use some better-fitting role players around them.
