The Hornets may be mediocre, but their future is bright. Firstly, they have a clear-cut franchise player in LaMelo Ball. Moreover, they have intriguing, young, talented players like P.J. Washington, James Bouknight, J.T. Thor, Kai Jones, and others. Weep for them at your own expense. 

On the other hand, the Clippers aren’t concerned about the future. They’re living in the now. When healthy, they may have the most intimidating roster in all of basketball. 

There’s no question about what they ought to do this summer. With the roster they have, they can easily afford to stand pat.
